I felt stuck in a rut living in a place I didn't want to be and doing a job that I didn't want to do. I wanted to do great things for God (I still do) but they just weren't happening where I was. So I wrote a song to God asking Him to break me away and to take me to greater heights. I do believe He has since then and more so than I could ever imagine. He is so Good.
lyrics
Verse1-
I don't wanna be a stagnant pool in the winter, that will freeze into to place
So make me a mighty powerful rushing river, that creates its own way
Let's put out these life consuming fires, with our white water waves
And fulfill this your hearts perfect desire, oh, that all would be saved
Chorus
Oh and I wont be surprised when I see everything work out
No I won't be surprised when I feel your spirit do it all, do it all
Do it all, do it all
Verse 2
I don't wanna walk this path of darkness anymore, so light up the way
and I can't put the flames of the vehement gospel fire, my heart couldn't take it
So I'll cry out, I'll cry out today, make me your way, I'll cry now, I'll cry out right away, break me away
Chorus
Oh and I wont be surprised when I see everything work out
No I won't be surprised when I feel your spirit do it all, do it all
Do it all, do it all
Bridge
Make me, make me your way, take me, take me today
Break me, break me away, save me, change me I pray
Pre-Chorus
Oh and I wont be surprised when I see everything work out
No I won't be surprised when I feel your spirit do it all, do it all
Do it all, do it all
